“In Food, Inc., filmmaker Robert Kenner lifts the veil on our nation’s food industry, exposing the highly mechanized underbelly that’s been hidden from the American consumer with the consent of our government’s regulatory agencies, USDA and FDA. Our nation’s food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers and our own environment. Food, Inc. reveals surprising — and often shocking truths — about what we eat, how it’s produced, who we have become as a nation and where we are going from here.”
The above is the blurb about the movie “Food Inc.” which I saw recently. I already knew most of what they were talking about because I’ve read tons of books on nutrition but seeing in vivid color on the big screen made it even more real and harder to ignore. Organic veggies for dinner, anyone?
If you care at all about the health of you, your family, and the environment then you really need to see this movie. Most of us are living in a fool’s paradise, stuffing our mouths with non-food that’s killing us. Yes, I know that’s a strong statement but it’s true and you are the only one who can change it.
Another good subject for a movie would be the huge amount of chemicals that are in our foods that are slowly making us sicker and sicker. It takes a lot of courage for people to be willing to speak up and be in these movies. I applaud them for their bravery. They are taking a chance of having big business come after them and pound them into the ground financially.
Enough said. You gotta see this movie!
