Looking for something fun to do and getting to eat at the same time? The Harlingen, Texas Arts and Heritage Museum is hosting the Taste of Harlingen 2011 on Thursday, October 20, 2011, 6-9pm. The theme is “Propellers and Pin-ups” and you can even go in 40’s style attire. There are eighteen participating restaurants, music is provided by the Dean Canty Orchestra, there will be a wine tasting, and an opening fly-over by the Commemorative Air Force Museum, Brownsville. Tickets are $55 pre-sale and $65 at the door.
There are some interesting exhibits at the museum. If you like history, food, music, and wine all rolled into one, then, what a deal! The Rio Grande Valley of Texas has a unique history and I invite you to get a little taste of it.
